Hackensack High School's School Based Youth Services Program

School Based Youth Services Programs (SBYSP) were started in NJ in 1987 to help young people navigate their adolescent years, finish their education, obtain skills leading to employment or continuing education, and graduate healthy and drug free. Hackensack SBYSP was established in 1988 at HHS.

The SBYSP is located in HHS Room 161 and coordinates with existing resources in the community. All youth are eligible to participate and services are provided before, during and after school at no cost.  SBYSP services include:

∙ Healthy Young Development
∙ Preventative Health Awareness
∙Employment Services
∙ Learning Support Services
∙ Family Involvement
∙ Referrals to Community Organization
∙ Outreach and Recreational Services
∙ Collaboration with Community Organizations
